Soaking up the KBs on the last night
Well, this is my last night in Seattle. I had a nice dinner with Sandra after seeing her parents. We all talked about my trip and the olympics. The evening was pleasant. I don't think I would have liked to spend my last night in Seattle any differently.
Right now I am trying to use up the fast internet connection I have at home while I have it. I have been uploading pictures and chatting online with my friend Alissa. We are both flying out of Sea-Tac tomorrow, but eventhough we will both end up in China we will be going opposite directions at first. She will end up in central China and I will arrive in the north east.
She will be doing linguistics research in Chengdu located in the province of Sichuan. I think it will turn out to be very interesting. During her stay she will also have a blog for people to read. If you want to also see what my friend Alissa is up to, just read her blog.
Well since I have most of my pictures uploaded and all the source code I need to work on for my flight tomorrow I am going to call it a night. I want to wake up nice and rested, so that I can remember the goodbyes at the airport tomorrow.
I must say that even though I have been preparing for this trip for a few months now and that it was postponed from earlier this summer until now, I still don't feel like I am leaving yet. Even though I will be starting school in 2 weeks (who is lucky now?) I still have a feeling that I am going to be waking up tomorrow morning to go play basketball with my brother and Kagan just like I have done all summer. I think it won't really hit me until I am leaving Los Angeles and I will see the West Coast shrinking into horizon.
